Simply Pure Trenton: From Cannabis Arrest to Cannabusiness
I produced this video profile on Tahir Johnson, a Trenton canna-business owner who received a social equity grant to start his business after a long history of being targeted in his own neighborhood during the marijuana prohibition era. After this video was released on Governor Murphy’s social media pages, Tahir was asked to be a special guest at the Governor’s budget address.

How New Jersey Has Improved Maternal Health Outcomes
I’ve helmed a series of legacy videos to highlight the accomplishments of the Murphy Administration. I created this video about the maternal health legacy of New Jersey, featuring a mother and baby who benefited from Family Connects NJ and an interview with the First Lady of New Jersey.

How New Jersey Restored Voting Rights to Over 80,000 People
To showcase the Murphy Administration’s legacy on voting rights in New Jersey, I filmed, edited, and produced this video, which included interviews with Lt. Governor Way, Henal Patel from the Institute, and Antonne Henshaw, who was incarcerated for decades. I interviewed Antonne for almost an hour, creating a comfortable space for him to share his story.

From Incarcerated to Helping Prisoners Get Jobs Post-Release
For the Governor and the State of New Jersey (@govmurphy and @njgov), I produced, filmed and edited this video about Abdur, who went from being incarcerated decades ago to working to help the incarcerated find jobs post-release, and now his service has been recognized with a pardon by Governor Murphy. I worked with the NJ Department of Corrections to create this video, filming at their facilities with an incarcerated individual.

The Father and his 8 Year Old Son who Reenact Together
One of the initiatives of the State of New Jersey has been to promote the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, “Rev250.” My goal as a video producer is always to go deep on one story (micro) to represent something larger (the macro.) For Rev250, I profiled Pete and Ben, father-and-son re-enactors who have bonded over this pastime since Ben was born. I produced, filmed, and edited this video entirely myself. It was co-posted with @NJGov and the NJ State Parks account.

This Barber Works with Children with Autism & Sensory Needs
While scrolling TikTok, I found Billy, a barber who specializes in children on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing issues, and was moved by his mission. I single handedly created (filmed, lit, edited, etc.) the video, filming it on a professional set-up vertically for TikTok and Reels. After it was posted on NJGov’s platforms for Small Business Week, it became one of NJGov’s most viewed Reels/TikToks ever.

How Cranberries are Grown in New Jersey
I produced, filmed (along with Rich Hundley III) and edited this video on the cranberry bogs of New Jersey. We immersed ourselves in the environment, getting into the bogs to capture the multi-generational family story. We used many different cameras for this video, ranging from a drone to a Go-Pro to the Sony and Canon cameras we were wielding, all while trying not to fall into the bogs.

Dia de los Muertos
In honor of the NJ Governor’s Mansion and the First Lady of New Jersey hosting Día de los Muertos for the first time, I was asked to create a video and take photos. For this video, I was a one-man-band, executing this whole video myself.

These Mothers are Fighting for Safer Streets in New Jersey
This video exemplified “finding the story” as I highlighted the Target Zero Law, which aims to prevent traffic deaths in New Jersey. I only had an hour to film and interview these mothers before the bill signing. I had to find the story while also being tactful with how I approached this sensitive subject. For this video, I produced, filmed, and edited it, utilizing archival footage.
